History
Cimmarron was formed in 2000 with the acquisition of gathering and pipeline assets from Texaco.
Since that time, the system has been substantially augmented with the acquisition of pipeline assets from EOTT, Koch Industries, Plains Pipeline and Spectrum, among others.
Operations began in 2003 with the start-up of a crude oil pipeline that runs from a point near Whitesboro, Texas to a point near Hewitt, Oklahoma. The crude pipeline is currently transporting approximately 3,500 barrels per day.
Over the past three years, five natural gas systems in Oklahoma and three systems in Texas have been placed into service.
In 2005, an investment group led by Juniper Capital contributed significant new capital to expand the partnership.
Houston-based Copano Energy, L.L.C. acquired Cimmarron on May 1, 2007.
